This book houses specimens from Ruth Wheeler’s archive encased in casting resin. Each of the eight specimens is identified with an etched mica label. Photocopies of images from Ruth’s lab notebooks when she was a student at the University of Kansas in the early 20th Century are surface mounted to the pages. They cast specimens are in 1 inch thick pages allow for viewing of six of the eight specimens from both front and back. The pages are bound together in a style adapted from Hedi Kyle’s Mongolian Structure.
